Double Room in a quiet house near Brixton Hill

There is a room becoming available in a nice and quiet house share in Brixton/Clapham Park. The rent is £680 per month. We are looking for a mature person between 33 and 50 who would be happy to share the house with myself and the landlord, who is based in Brighton and usually around between 1 – 2 nights per week.

I am 45 years old and from Germany and have been living in London for over 11 years. With a background in theatre, I work for museums setting up fashion shows and costume exhibitions. I'm into Ayurveda while enjoying the occasional glass of wine as well. I read a lot and like being out and about in the park, too. The nearest one is Brockwell Park and a 15 mins walk away.

The room is in the rear of the house overlooking the garden and there are a large lounge and kitchen with a great big dining table, too. We’ve got a basement as well where a few things can be stored away if needed.

There are plenty of buses to Brixton Tube Station and Clapham Common, too. If you like walking it takes around 15 - 20 minutes to get there.

The room will be available from 1 st of February 2023 but since I will be away for most of January, we want to see people sooner.

Here is a bit about me in the meantime.. i am 38 years old.. work as a teacher of academic english at Greenwich University. I enjoy learning languages and lived and worked in Italy last year . I love the south london area, especially brockwell park and the lido. As a housemate i am tidy and considerate and enjoy cooking and sharing an evening meal but also enjoy my own nap and tv time. Would be great to come and see the room if its still available?

I moved to london from Tunbridge wells, Kent not too long ago. its been quite a shock as london is at a much faster pace but i am gradually finding my bearings I work as a Facilities manager for private clients.
