Hi all, just posting to mark the re-launch of Karavan Eco's website at http://www.karavaneco.co.uk. We've been trading on Lordship Lane for around 15 years now (!!) and for the past few years we've made eco products our main focus. I'm guessing most locals already know about us and the stock we carry but just in case we're new to anyone I'll mention a few bits.

With all of our products we aim to find the most eco friendly and sustainable option available and we're always looking for new innovations and ranges to add to what we've already got. We cover a lot of general homeware and gifts as well as eco paint, bamboo textiles (towels, socks and scarves spring to mind), gardening equipment, baskets and much more. We also try to work with local producers when we feel that what they do fits with what they do. Our current window display was made up by a local carpenter working with re-claimed and re-used materials in fact.

Anyway, along with everyone else in the world we're trying to raise our online exposure and hopefully, if you like what we do in Dulwich, you'll be willing to recommend it to your friends. As well as the site we've got a Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Karavan-Eco-Shop/114173321974833?fref=ts) and a Twitter account (

) - both of which we'll be using to keep people up to date with new stock both online and in the shop.

I'll make sure I stop by to check this thread so if anyone has any questions or comments about anything then feel free to post them here, plus we've got a contact form on the site you can use if you'd prefer. And just in case anyone's missed us here are the rest of our contact details:

    • The good news is that the Blythe's new leaseholder is Austin Whelan, who runs a chain of very decent Irish pubs, mainly in south London. By all accounts, he has no intention of making any major changes. It reopened last week.
    • A builder said that to me once! What I should have said (but thought of it too late) was that given that I was paying him to do a job, I expected that my glass would be full, not half full 🤣 But yes, you are right in this instance!
    • Just had a flyer through the door. Posting here for people who haven't had theirs yet. The 50% off food is for three days only, and advance bookings only. I liked the EDT as it used to be, so I really hope the changes won't be too massive. Last time I looked through the window the bar seemed to be still in the same place, but who knows. Think I'll wait a bit to try the food. When The Lordship launched, we went for a meal there and let's say things didn't go smoothly 😂 Anybody who was there will know what I mean 😂 They have redeemed themselves since, I hasten to add 😂
    • I have 5, these: SmithPackaging 5 Extra Large... https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08K1TV18P?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share   was about to chuck so if you want to come and collect from Ivydale rd please let me know!
