Couple in our 30s looking for a 1 bedroom flat to call home!

Hi folks,

My partner and I have been looking for a 1 bedroom flat to rent for a while, since having our lease ended abruptly due to construction work on our past flat.

We are lucky enough to be staying with family temporarily but are looking for somewhere we can call home in the Camberwell/Peckham area, with a maximum rent of £1550pcm. We are completely flexible on move in date seeing as we are not waiting for a current lease to come to an end.

We are both in our early 30s. I am a furniture designer/maker and my partner is the manager of a children’s charity in Camberwell. We have all our documents and references ready to go to the right landlord.

We are aware of how competitive the rental market is at the moment but we would much rather be able to meet/know our landlord and have a mutually trusting relationship rather than just go through estate agents!

Thank you!

Hey Catherine,

Thanks so much for contacting me. I think the location might be too much of s stretch. We’re looking for somewhere very close to an overground as I need to commute to east London for work daily. I appreciate you offering the flat though!

Hope you find some great tenants.

Best, Tessa.

Hi Tessa,

It is on the orange overground. It’s Forest Hill 8 mins walk straight into Canada Water, Whitechapel, Shoreditch direct. Bus to 176 and have the bus 197 to Peckham etc …. Just thought I’d say.

Thank you and good luck with your search :-)

Global issues all play their own parts (as they do with other countries) but the UK govt had  been especially abject for years. Improvements could not be made with them in power.
