As the first A level Microeconomics exam approaches on Thursday I want to wish everyone good luck. Remember to keep calm and

Choose the right question!
Think about the parts of the course the question will expect you to refer to and the key terms.
Plan the essay before writing
Ensure you use diagrams for the 9,15 and 25 markers and explain them clearly as this will get you analysis marks.
Refer to the extracts to support your point as this will contribute to application marks and enhance your evaluation score.

Good luck.

We cannot recommend Rob highly enough.

He tutored our son in Year 12, to help bump up his grade in Economics.

Rob provided motivation, thorough learning and understanding of the topics, lots of questioning to help grasp details and much support.

He had a great rapport with our son, and helped push him to read and research around the subject.

Our son got an A this summer, which is testament to Rob's mentoring abilities and quality of tutoring.

Thanks again, Rob!

    • These have started sprouting around East Dulwich! “…there is no poop fairy” 👏
    • Thinking of going on a very last minute week away to somewhere a bit warmer than the UK within the next couple of weeks. I’m just about to start doing some research online but thought I’d also ask here:-  Has anyone got any tips for where to stay on Gran Canaria?  We like the less touristy areas but do also want to be near a beach & always go for self catering… Alternatively another place we thought of which looks reasonably warm would be around Athens so again if anyone has any suggestions of places to stay near Athens that would be great. Or anywhere else in Southern Europe… Thanks!
    • There used to be bins around the area specifically for putting in bags of dog poo. I don't know who collected the bags from the bins, or how frequently. Do they no longer exist?
    • It is my understanding that the services which the  Crown post offices on this list  (such as the one in Lordship Lane) presently provide would be transferred to new sub post  offices such as those that already exist in shops. So  services such as posting parcels  would not disappear. They would just be provided in additional suitable  locations (eg shops)  locally. Or possibly parcel lockers, though I don't know how those work in terms of posting rather than collecting parcels. The Post Office obviously needs to look at all suitable alternative options which would be cheaper for them than continuing to have dedicated (?)  premises which are running at a loss. Bear in mind that all this is at a very early stage. I'm not convinced that a petition signed by individuals is the best way to influence the decision makers, who one hopes  will be taking all factors into account and  consulting relevant interest groups anyway. Probably making your feelings known to your MP or councillor would be likely to carry more weight. But what would I know.
