Phone screen repair

My wife recently smashed the screen on her Galaxy S3, and was quoted silly money to fix it (around ?100).

In the end it turned out insurance she had through her bank account covered it. So if you pay a fee for your account, check what sort of cover you have, as it may save you quite a bit of cash.

I can fix it for you

Cost depends of the number of glasses you managed to crack so...

Iphone 5 has 3 layers of glass

1st is the protecting glass

2nd is the touch screen digitizer

and the 3rd is the LCD display

If only the first two layers are broken you looking at the cost of ?70

Cos I would need to order for the front film

which will work as the protecting rubber for the front screen protecting glass

Then I will have to get the front protecting glass

And touch screen digitizer

And that is the cheap option

... but if you see any damage on the LCD display

I.e crack, scratch, or the display is blury flashy etc then you better buy another one as the whole set inc. ?30 labour will be ?180

If you want you can reply or send me your number and I will call you

And we will clarify where we stand..

BTW you have done a good job by cracking the hardest nut of all

Cheers

Dan

Ok let's say it different

As a customer everyone of us has statutory right

To get any new phone replaced by the network provider

If it gets damaged within 3 months

These days we as customers have been stripped out of that rightbeing forced to payfor something that has been always a standard warranty

So in simple words just return the the phone as

That is one of your basic statutory customer rights

(if this is a contract phone and BTW if is on 3 network they cover your phone thruout the whole 247 months of contract)

My sis recently went to a repair shop... quoted a ridiculous amount of money for the work. She ended up buying the bits and bobs needed, found instructions how to replace the screen online and sorted it all herself - she's not the most techy minded person nor particularly patient yet managed it herself...

    • I've been a member for many years (through 3 different organisations running it..) and a regular attendee of the gym though not the classes. I'm REALLY REALLY disapointed that it now feels very much geared toward weights and strength training with the cardio machines cut down considerably in number (only about 5 or 6 X trainers..I had to wait to use one) running machines halved in number and a lot of wasted space. Also I thought the actual cardio machine I did use was pretty rubbish (It felt like something from Argos) and not by one of the well known gym equipment brands that I've used in other gyms.. I felt the gym seemed less inclusive the ab crunch has gone, seated row gone, the seated machine you make cycling movements with your arms, gone...these are all machines I see older members using, I did'nt notice if the recumbent bikes had gone or the two step machines, the ski-movement x trainers of which there were 2 have also gone My general impression was that these was a distinct scarcity of weight based machines and the focus was very much on free weights with this taking up the majority of the space. I raised concerns about this when I saw the plans and asked for member feedback prior to the refurb, I must have been in the minority I guess. I was also suprised that the changing area is still the same and looking pretty tired. I also felt that with all this new equipment they should have had lots of visible staff on the floor helping people get to understand settings and so forth. I wish Everyone active still ran the gym..in my experience they were the best. But having really looked forward to the reopening I found it a real let down☹️
    • Happy New Year to my amazing clients and EDF for all your great support
    • I've been training with the wonderful Marisa at Gokay's Fitness Hub for the last few months and have seen really significant improvements in my strength and have regained a lot of lost body confidence. I feel really happy abd energised at the end of each session. One of the side benefits of the Fitness Hub is the sense of community there, the group classes are very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend! 👌 👍😀
