One free Thursday slot with a qualified teacher

One of my lovely tutees is finishing tutoring so I will have a free slot on a Thursday, after school, for a primary aged student.

I have been teaching for over ten years and tutoring for three, including 11+, EAL and support for dyslexia and dyscalculia.

Children learn best when they are enjoying what they are doing, so I specialise in making the sessions fun and tailored to their interests; scaffold learning in a wide variety of ways, so that the children make great progress without feeling under pressure. One of my tutees says the day I visit is her favourite day.

Please PM me if you are local, looking for some extra support and can do Thursdays (no other days free I'm afraid!).

Thanks, Alison

    • The Oxfam shop refusal may be because they have very limited storage space at the back of their very small shop?
    • I agree. The staff are always lovely!
    • Hi, does anyone know anything about the generator that seems to run from 7am every day in the car park of Dominic Court off The Gardens? I live in a property that backs on to that car park and it’s incredibly noisy and fumey. It’s been there for a long time now and it looks like it’s powering a site office for construction workers. Does anyone have any information about how long it will be there for, and who is operating it? I worry about the quality of the air as it’s like having a truck running constantly. And it’s very annoying to have it rumbling all day.
    • Most charity shops will take rags for textile recycling. I’ve also donated to Christopher’s, Shelter on LL and Scope in Camberwell. The only one I’ve known to refuse is the Oxfam in Herne Hill.
