Solicitor for rogue builder and architect firm

I used an architect firm to design my garage conversion and subsequently its in house builder for construction.

Long story short, the firm and builder got all the money and delayed building work. The builder held me at ransom by asking for more money otherwise will not purchase material or send any subcontractor. He admits that he has cash flow issue. But I have paid him way more than what he has done so his excuse is not valid. Besides, he stopped coming to the building site after getting all the payments and only send workmen to do bits and pieces without coordination. That's just poor service standards and customer care. Although pregnant, I have to manage the subcontractors when they show up.

The architect firm CEO is the son of the builder. Therefore the manager from the firm is trying to persuade me into giving him whatmever he want. He is asking me to pay for extras work, which was due to his mismanagement. For example, Electrician changed downlights position and I asked him to change back to original drawing. He is also asking for retainer, which is not much and only to be paid 1 month after completion, as stated the contract.

Anyway, they are completely horrible to deal with and I was in a lot of stress while being pregnant. I just want to end things with them, get someone to finish the work, have a child and claim the money back in court later.

Does anyone know any good solicitor for building dispute?

Or is there anyone local who can be a witness and give legal advice when I have a meeting with them?

Thanks
