Brendan
Yeah so do I which just goes to show what a load of bollcoks it all is. Although I only qualify by job title. Technically as I am not a member of the ol? chartered institute I don?t think I really qualify. Or at least I don?t think I should. annaj
The more I think about this the more depressed it's making me.I know, I know, it's all just a bit of fun and I shouldn't take myself to seriously, but it does make me feel a little, well, undervalued. Oh well. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3163-eastdulwicheese-lounged/page/2/#findComment-98526 Share on other sites
Moos
Think it just shows that the list is wrong. Doctors are definitely professional. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3163-eastdulwicheese-lounged/page/2/#findComment-98529 Share on other sites
KalamityKel
Well especially if a nurse, dentist and optician are listed. I notice vets r missed out too :| Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3163-eastdulwicheese-lounged/page/2/#findComment-98530 Share on other sites
Brendan
Yeah. They probably have the most rigid qualification process and are the most regulated of any professionals. Maybe whoever put the list together just thought that doctors are busy enough already without having people bugging them to countersign their bureaucratic documents. KalamityKel
Upon further inspection I actually qualify on two positions :-s I can certainly see why some people may be frustrated... *Bob*
I might nip into the Funeral Directors next time. I shall enjoy wallowing in the sombre and respectful reception I get.. only to whip-out a form to sign and ask them 'why the long face'? Moos
Mr. Moos isn't on there either, and he's a chartered whatsit. I do like the way they differentiate between 'Christian Science practitioner' and 'minister of a recognised religion'. pk
that isn't really an official list of 'professionals' is it?it's a list of acceptable countersignatories for a passport application, it doesn't even say professional on it does it?for those upset by their absence from the list - a 'person of similar standing in the community' is allowed to sign too so i am sure that you'll find a way to sneak yourselves in Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3163-eastdulwicheese-lounged/page/2/#findComment-98536 Share on other sites
*Bob*
That's Keef in then. His standing in the community is usually pretty similar - outside the CPT wheezing on a tab. Ultraconsultancy
I've always worked on the assumption the a real job is one that has a pub named after it;so artillerymen, shepherds, and librarians good, though admittedly so is the prince of wales; human resources administarator bad. Moos
bought two very nice cheeses from the cheese stall in the indoor market on Friday. But they were Welsh cheese, not Eastdulwicheese.
