Ive treated myself to a new car not two weeks ago... today pops into my post box a penalty charge notice, for being in a queue of traffic (surprise, surprise) on Lordship lane for my back wheels being in a yellow box! Near the Bishop and east dulwich grove

Its my fault from the pictures, but just FYI big brother is always watching!

took the shine of the joy of a new car.. thats for sure!

I have sat in the Bishop and outside the Bishop and watched people being caught out.

The problem is there is a crossing Before the junction. So when the lights go green for the

motorist and they pull forwards across the crossing and into the 'Box' and then someone turns

left out off East Dulwich Grove they block the exit from the box. (Caught on Camera)

If when the lights go green the driver pulls forward and stops befor the box.. they find themselves

blocking the crossing. (Caught on Camera)..

You cannot win..

Yet another deliberate clever ploy to catch motorists.. and Only that.

Fox.

Indeed, I actually blocked a yellow box on my driving test and still passed, precisiely because someone turned in infront of me blocking the space that existed as I pulled into the box. Unless they have video evidence, they will find it extremely difficult to charge you and they know it. Refuse to pay on these grounds.

Was driving along Beckenham high road at the weekend and the same thing happened to me. There was one space beyond the yellow box, I crossed, then a Porsche turned into the sapce and left me hanging. I politely let the driver know he'd nutmegged me (shrug of shoulders) and he gave me a furious finger in return, then over-revved big time in pulling away (inevitably to brake hard about 10 yards down the road). I just don't get these guys.

Agreed, just ignore the troll. I would consider appealing though based on the other comments.

My plan too.

problem is if you don't see it coming due to chaos on the road

( I was driving through Loampit Vale the other day and it

was a free for all - won't be going back there). How do the

cameramen react to chaos - penalise everybody.

    • We have been patients at Sternhall Lane for years. Our experience has generally been incredibly positive with speedy responses and very helpful staff. We are generally fortunate to get a same day appointment should we really need one either at Sternhall Lane or at Tessa Jowell and any necessary referalls have been swift.
    • @Alice if left might have been stolen/taken by someone (peed on by a dog or fox), also there are some little things attached of - I assume - sentimental value. I hope the owner can claim them. Will leave a note indeed with info how to retrieve them, though not with a private phone number in a public space 😅 Maybe a friend of a friend will come across this post on EDF.  @embob97 They do have a ring, sorry.
    • Agree but not so great for the independently owned cafes shops etc.
    • My husband goes to the newish one near the Watchpolisher on Lordship Lane.(sorry cant remember name-) I can assure you they're not 'fake'  He started going there because his excellent long-term barber had to rent a chair there when the shop he used to work from in Forest Hill closed. I think one needs to be careful when making statements like that above as it can damage reputable buisnesses. Also I should add the Barbers I mention always seems to be busy
