Get down and support your local club.

Admission

Concessions (over 60, Students, Over 12) ?4

Children Under 12 - Free

Bar open, food available, great family atmosphere.

Fantastic atmosphere and result tonight! A solid 3-1 win and good noisy crowd. Gutted not to be able to go on Saturday but as many as possible of you need to get down - we only need one point to win the league.

Kids are free and pints only ?3 so there really is no excuse!

Come on you pink and blues!

Glad you all enjoyed last night and Saturday promises to be better so if you've never experienced The Hamlet before get down there and support the boys.

I've spoken to the club this morning and the booking for Saturday night has been moved to a later date so the bar will be open to celebrate promotion (or drown sorrows).

Hope to see as many as possible on Saturday for a real celebration.

And don't forget May 6th - Charity Match for Evelina Children's Hospital and the end of season presentations.

Having been again last night, would highly recommend it. Decent football, at a very reasonable price, loyal crowd and no pre-madonnas. Gutted I can't be there on Saturday. A team with true grit having missed out in the last two seasons. Wishing them all the luck. Confident you can do it.

I've posted a few more details in the 'What's on' here.

Out of interest it is:

35 years since Dulwich Hamlet last won a Divisional title;

21 years since they last enjoyed a promotion;

12 years since they were relegated from the Ryman Premier Division; and

1 year since they lost the promotion play off final (for the second season in a row!).

So years of disappointment, waiting etc could be laid to rest on Saturday.

If you haven't been before, do come along and (hopefully) enjoy the occasion.

For those like macutd who have been inspired to become regulars, there is still one week in which to take advantage of the club's 'early bird' season ticket offer.

Adult season tickets can bought for just ?135 before May 6th, which gives admission to 23 home (Premier Division!) league matches next season - after this date the price will rise to ?190. Daily admission prices are expected to rise to ?10, so it doesn't take too much working out to see what value they are.

Concessions are ?50, 12-16 year olds ?25. Accompanied under 12's are admitted free anyway.

Application forms with all the details can be downloaded here:

Word is that they were the guys police removed from the coach to Crystal Palace's away match yesterday. This means (a) they're unlikely to return to Hamlet as it was clearly a spontaneous decision to come along, and (b) they will be easily identified and not allowed back. Furthermore, some of the lads who come regularly recognise them as known troublemakers and therefore a load of us will escort them out should they foolishly turn up again.

Back to the matter at hand: Oh my days, what a game, what season! Dulwich Hamlet, both the team and the fandom, has now got real momentum. Best cultural attraction in Greater London!

Sorry for the laste reply.

We had a fantastic day at Dulwich, apart from the mentioned incident.

Just wanted to say a thank you to the Dulwich fans after the game who made sure we were alright, we really should have seen it coming but you don't really expect to be attacked in the Ryman Division 1 South!

One of the guys grabbed the flag, I had part of the flag wrapped around my hand, as 2 of them tried getting the flag off me my hand hit the perimeter fence pretty hard.

Also thanks to the bar staff in the clubhouse, even though it was busy they managed to get me some ice to put on my hand.

Attached is a photo of my hand 5 days after the incident, it's still bruised a bit now surprisingly!

Anyway, we wish you sll the best of luck for next season in the Premier!

I watched the Millwall game last night and I was very surprised to see that there were so few people watching considering it was a local Derby (of sorts). It was a good family atmosphere though.

Next game is on 6th August against Crystal Palace though so maybe will be a larger turnout for that.

    • For many years I went to Ken's on NXR.  He was pretty much the only barber  in ED  Now we have more barbers than you could shake a stick at - all the way down from the Plough through to DKH and some are empty of customers - even on the evenings and weekends.  I never ceased to be amazed that they continued to operate despite not having clients and realised that they were probably into money-laundering - just like the sweet shops along Oxford street. I went once to one on LL and certainly wasn't impressed with their. My dear wife has cut my hair ever since. I don't believe in supporting criminals. • Do you know a Spanish lady called Maria who lives in East Dulwich? My partner is helping a woman she met on Crystal Palace Road this afternoon. She seems confused and unsure where to go. She is in her late 60s, with short grey/dark hair, Black puffer jacket blue tracksuit. Apparently her daughter is also called Maria and lives locally. If anyone knows her please call me on 07980308743. Thanks, Chris
