Last night I heard some loud/drunken voices in the street passing our houes and something being dragged along - I assumed it was a suitcase. This morning I woke up to find that both our blue recycling bins have gone missing. Don't know if stolen or moved for a joke, but highly annoying.

Before I order some more from Southwark (and wonder what to do with my recycling for the next 10 days as that's how long it takes them to deliver), has anyone seen two stray blue recycling bins with "63" in white numbers on the side where they shouldn't be?

Thanks in advance.

Good luck with ordering a new bin. I ordered a new green bin months ago as mine has a massive crack down one side. Nothing going on so just have to stuff a lot of rubbish in and hope for the best. Luckily on the street where I live I'm the only one that puts my bins out on collection day so the bin men empty it regardless.

    • Well I did say I stand to be corrected! Fair enough, their website only seemed to list three branches. Perhaps it's a franchise model?  It's known as 'agglomeration' in economics Rookie error.
    • I didn't know there was a word for that — thanks!
    • This is just normal business behaviour. That's why there are so many coffee shops in ED and shops selling gifts and interiors stuff, clothes, restaurants.  If there's more than one business of a similar type then it can benefit all of them up to a saturation point and keep up quality. It's all sounding like many think Chango has made a malicious move when it actually sounds like it's owned by one guy who has a good business that has done well.   Anyway this is all great advertising for both empanada places. Very close by is the organic grocer who sells really good value and very tasty samosas and other Indian snacks which are also worth trying.
