I would turn it into a green space.

Having Dulwich Park nearby is not an excuse.

Why should residents of Dulwich Village, having Dulwich Junction closed, turned into "piazza" and refurbished multiple times (no end to this btw cause Southwark council apparently has millions to waste) use it as an excuse?

People living in the area have to put up with a very high level of:

- Air pollution

- Noise

- Anti social behaviour

How about transferring the skate park from the Grove Tavern parking  lot to Dulwich Village?

Kind of idea how to sort the derelict Tavern 🙂

I started a new topic and would love to see you all pop over to help me- I think some excellent ideas are here. I'm keen to get in touch with the lease owners.

Can you share your ideas for the site, please? So the residents can have an idea of what your ideas/plans consist of.

Not many people live in the immediate area and it's been polluted for decades - less so now cars are cleaner.  Not that it is good to live next to a busy road but anyone buying or renting in the area will be well aware

A word of advice - laying into Southwark ie making negative comments will distract from positive suggestions.

Me?  I'd like the Grove tavern to be a community space and,/or social housing.

"Not many people live in the imediate area" - eh?? Me!

"Been polluted for decades" - so we do what - we should die and stop being a problem?

@Administrator happy to meet in person if you want 🙂

    • Hi all,  We recently had the front badge stolen from our VW Golf, the car sensor is kept behind the badge and was also stolen. This was two weeks ago and since then have noticed other VWs around ED had also had the same issue, a badge and sensor stolen.  We've been quoted over £1000 from our local VW garage to replace these.  I am aware this has been going on for some time in South London generally (https://www.theguardian.com/business/article/2024/may/04/vw-cars-parts-theft-cruise-control-sensors-insurance-golf-passat), which leads me to think... a.) It's VWs issue for this terrible design fault so why should we pay b.) If we do get a new sensor and badge the same thing will surely happen again, thus leading to further costs down the line I wonder if anyone else who had this issue is on the group? And how they dealt with VW? They are being very unhelpful and in our most recent correspondence said we 'should have kept the car in a garage' 🫠
    • The long empty site at the top of Lordship Lane by the Library is now a cute little bar and restaurant -  Victus and Bibo.  We had a few beers there on Saturday night and it was very welcoming.
    • I think it should be knocked down and new social housing built on the site.
