The flood alleviation works have been completed. This thread is talking about large sections of the park being closed off for the setting up of the Gala festival. I am concerned at how much of the parks open areas ( sports fields and open fields opposite Harris boys) will be out of use by local people for quite a long time -
It's a "dogs on lead" zone, not a dog free zone. Although I agree people should not let their dogs chase wildlife, anywhere, not just there.

Do rats eat ducklings? I'd have thought anything on four legs approaching a duckling would have been seen off by the parents, whereas the heron swooping down can just fly off with it 😥 -
