Looking for a Business Mentor

Recommended Posts

Hi EDF'ers,

I am a new Mum to a 1 year old and am looking for a change of direction in my career. I have a lot of local knowledge and an idea for an ambitious local resource for families that I believe will do very well here. I am passionate, driven, hard working and motivated. My background is in the Arts and also PR/ marketing. I have been self-employed for over 10 years but do not have business start up experience and am looking for someone who may be able to guide me through the organisational process from research and business plans to delivery. With the right mentor I hope that we can discuss ways to make this a mutually beneficial. I have a wide range of admin skills that could be useful or possibly a stake in any future developments.

Please PM me if this is something you may be interested in getting involved with.

Many thanks

M

    • Good luck, don't think you would find anyone selling controllers on here 🤣 What controller you using atm?
    • Four little goslings by the pond,  with their mum and dad keeping a close watch on them yesterday! It seems very early? Apparently they were born last week, and there were five then 😭 Let's hope the rest of them escape what I presume was the heron. Sorry just realised this should be on the nature watch thread, maybe admin could move it? Apologies.
    • I'm generally in favour and supportive of events like Gala, but this issue around vehicular access to the site does seem a bit concerning. Essentially, they are going to build a fenced off road/trackway right accross the cricket and Gaelic football pitches... is that right?  Hopefully they have a way of making that work which isn't too disruptive, but I can't envisage what that might be.
    • Did you sort it or return it to John Lewis in the end ?
