Moos
Tch, MacRoban, not worthy of our wise Chancellor. Problem?? Opportunity? One tree and a brawny young chap to hold up the other end / act as fan-wallah. jumpinjackflash
Exactly - young, well muscled and preferably oiled up. Hmmm, maybe I should put up an ad in the Wanted, Offered section.. Sue
When I voted I made the point that they shouldn't have anything which blocked visibility.Quite apart from other issues.I suggested large plants rather than a tree.A palm tree is really going to blend well with the surroundings, isn't it. Not.Oh well, at least we aren't getting some council person's idea of good art. Or a twee signpost (whose idea was that ffs).:-S Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3108-big-hole-now-a-tree-in-goose-green-roundabout/page/2/#findComment-103919 Share on other sites
Brendan
Why does it need to come from Chile anyway? I saw a palm tree in the garden centre in Streatham just the other day. Brendan
Global warming my bum! I had to put the heating on this weekend! If this weather carries on the roundabout is going to look like one of those news reports you get from Florida when they get hit by a Hurricane. All rain-lashed streets and a palm tree bent sideways by the wind. Ant
Yes, I've seen it. Quite like it. I think the short stubby ones like that may be date palms, but someone who knows more about this sort of thing may well know better. Gilles
Is it like that tiny monkey puzzle tree on the corner of the common that nevers seems to grow?
