She moves her mouth when drinking water from her bottle and makes cute noises to indicate what mood she is in. You can even tickle or bounce her and she will laugh. Suitable for children aged 3+. Baby in very good condition. Crib base is wobbly but you can still use it so we will include it for free.

  Sorted. I don't know whether to laugh or cry, but probably laugh. A young (I think) woman - not that that's relevant - from Which Tech deduced the cause of the problem in about ten minutes or less. She didn't even need remote access. The effing brightness was turned right down. There is a function key f6 on my laptop which turns up the brightness (I had no idea it existed - I was changing the brightness in settings). Using this - when restarting again brought up the dreaded black screen - had a miraculous effect. Whatever is the opposite of SNAFU I now have it. Thanks to everyone who has been so helpful, and it just goes to show how easy it is to overlook the simplest things!
