ADULT WORKSHOP - MAKE & BAKE IN CLAY Tues 14th June 6.30-8.30pm - ?20

Run by Kids Clay Workshop

This was moved from a couple of weeks ago - due to half term! I'm always being asked if I run adult workshops too, and a couple of months ago a group of mums got together to come and make dishes, which was great fun. I'm doing another one which is open to all on Tues 14th June at 6.30-8.30pm, and we will be making busts (heads & shoulders). No experience necessary, just treat yourself to an evening of something different instead of just spending all the money on entertaining the kids! Please book in advance.

At St Clements & St Peters Church hall, off Barry Road, SE22 0HW (it's halfway up Barry Rd, up a little gravel road ? entrance opposite Silvester Road and beside Graham Court flats).

- Peckham Rye Park Floor Alleviation - Progress?

  If they have altered the state of at least part of Peckham Rye with their anti-flooding measures then perhaps they should alter the planting in that area to take account of the more marshy ground. I am sure that the horticulturalists in The Horniman Park (who do create different habitats) could advise - I assume for a price as consultants - for appropriate new planting to take account of any habitat changes. If it is to be water-logged for considerable periods then it's use as playing fields would need to be re-examined. Perhaps water polo? Actually this is quite a serious issue - I used to play sport in an area of water meadow where a boy drowned in the mud under a collapsed scrum.
