...a youngish flowering cherry n Felbrigg road, with a council notice saying it's being removed because of 'litigation', whatever that means. Roots damaging house? Cherries damaging cars?

It's a seemingly healthy tree near the Blue Brick Cafe, one of a few blossoming cherries on that section of road.

It would be a pity to lose it.

I think the problem is trees often get cited as reasons for movement in houses - many years ago neighbours next to our old house came home to find their living room ceiling had partially fallen down and the insurance surveyor said that it was because of a tiny tree in the pavement taking moisture from the (clay) ground and that caused enough movement to create the ceiling collapse. Council had the tree removed very quickly thereafter.

    • Yes, I used Dr Elizabeth Kilbey for an ADHD & ASD assessment - http://www.drkilbey.com/  based in West Wickham. As my son now takes medication for his ADHD, I use Dr Michael Grant - https://www.wellbeing.associates/home There's also Clinical Partners - https://www.clinical-partners.co.uk/ - but I've not used them before. Wishing you all the best!
    • OP, how is your dog doing? I really hope they were able to recover from the awful experience.
    • Oh dear. I waited for ages then used the power button. I had previously got a blue screen  message saying the laptop had "run into a problem" and needed to restart. If memory serves,  it was  ok after it restarted, but then later wouldn't shut down. I did Google and apparently it is a common issue with Windows 10. I haven't had time to investigate yet. Wouldn't you usually get an onscreen message if the system was updating, telling you not to turn off your computer? It has just started ok, but I don't know what will happen now.
    • Anyone looking for a cleaner, I can highly recommend Milena (+44 7845 949064) - she’s very reliable and has done a great job at our place.
