Serpentine jubilee cycle picnic Sat june 4th

Recommended Posts

I hope everyone who made it to the Freecycle had a good time. The led group of about 100 from Peckham and Burgess Park had a remarkably smooth ride up. Very light traffic and no mechanicals. Most of the marshals were Healthy Ride leaders. And Healthy Ride leaders also marshalled for Greenwich. A good effort all round.

Jubilee Serpentine Picnic

Saturday 4 June. The Healthy Riders are having a picnic. All riders, other Southwark Cyclist members and their friends and family are invited. Location: Hyde Park on the grass above the Serpentine boat hire place. Time about 12.30, hopefully continuing to mid afternoon.

Bring food and drink and everything you need for a picnic.

Those wishing to ride together, meet at the Southwark Gateway Needle on the south side of London Bridge at 10.30 for an informal ride to the Serpentine via Buckingham Palace. No booking required.

    • Sorry Jazzer, not a Q for me but I would plant lots and lots of trees and turn it into green space - no dogs - just nature, as much as possible on an A road 🙂
    • Can you share your ideas for the site, please? So the residents can have an idea of what your ideas/plans consist of.
    • I would turn it into a green space. Having Dulwich Park nearby is not an excuse. Why should residents of Dulwich Village, having Dulwich Junction closed and refurbished multiple times (no end to this btw cause the Southwark council apparently has millions to waste) have it and people on Lordship Lane and A25 (South Circular) ? People living in the area have to put up with very high level of: air pollution noise anti social behaviour. How about transferring the skate park from the Grove Tavern parking  to Dulwich Village?
