intexasatthe moment
I have a smoke detector which plugs into a ceiling light and is recharged when you put the light on .I got from these people http://www.fireangel.co.uk/SearchResults.aspx?q=no%20batteriesIt's not clear that they still produce it ( so I guess I should worry that it'd been found unreliable ) but they certainly have an excellent range and alarms with 10 year batteries . BecsW
Thanks for this, I will look into it but I think we need the mains smoke detectors on a seperate mains supply from the lights as we are renting out our property. Will check, thanks Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/30930-mains-smoke-alarm-fitter/#findComment-632271 Share on other sites
DrinkingBuddy
Andrew (07956 882 051) runs a team of electricians that fitted ours, very good job and have used them for other work too. His team are the electricians that do the work for Classic Lofts. jennyh
We are doing exactly this with an electrician recommended on the forum. If it all goes well I will let you know his details, he is doing it on Monday/Tuesday!
