gingerfisher
I'm sure this has been asked on here before, but I can't seem to find an answer. We have a dual fuel Beko gas cooker that we used temporarily while were doing our extension. It's in really good condition and only 18 months old so I'd like to see it go to a good home rather than sell it to a landlord or the suchlike. None of the charities that I've seen will take gas appliances so does anyone know where I could donate it or someone that is really in need of one? AylwardS
That?s a kind thought. There are all kinds of regulations around gas for safety reasons which probably explains the reluctance of charities. Can you find a qualified gas engineer willing to install it free of charge and then offer the cooker and installation. The HSE says engineers have to be registered on the Gas Safe Register to legally install appliances. https://www.gassaferegister.co.uk/Somewhere like the Albrighton Centre (for East Dulwich) or Link Age Southwark might know of someone who needs a cooker and having agreement from an engineer might mean that although they can?t accept a donation they can help the cooker go to a good home.
