Hi there. I am soon to be a first time Mum living in Peckham Rye (not far from Bellenden Road). My pregnant friends have already started putting themselves on the waiting list for nurseries. Can anyone recommend a good nursery (from 12 months old) in the local area? Any shared experiences would be hugely appreciated. Many thanks.

Hi Alexandra


My son goes to EDG on East Dulwich Grove, it might be a bit far for you but the team are lovely and my son loves it. He started at age 18 months, but they take kids from 3 months I think. They always do loads of extra activities, for example they do tennis, they made crowns and had a tea party for the Queen last week, plus they celebrate many different cultural events and special days throughout the year.

      I just don’t believe it’s something that should mix with a restaurant and dining space which is open to the public. If they wanted to just do sex entertainment like swingers events then it should be just that, not a mixture. Not to add if they’re even allowed to do this. I agree, but to then go ahead a promote it is where the problem is. I’m sorry it should be sacred. It has so much potential!

We are so excited to bring this much-needed service to the community, and we want to thank everyone for participating in our recent survey.  Your feedback was invaluable in shaping Little Stars and ensuring it meets the needs of local families. Here's what you need to know: Days & Times: Initially, Little Stars Creche will run on Monday and Wednesday mornings. Location: East Dulwich Community Centre. Duration: Each session will last for 2 hours . Future Plans: We have exciting plans to expand our services over time, including adding more days and even offering exercise classes for parents while their children are in the creche!
