Any electrical engineers - missing remote for electric awning

Hello, this is an odd one. I have an electric awning but have lost the remote control. Is it possible to use an alternative remote control (the company is out of business that made the awning) or install a switch. If you are interested in this sort of job, let me know. Thanks.
