The recycling bin beside the old burial ground was repeatedly broken into and finally the door was vandalised beyond use (see attached). The bin was taken for repair in January. Members of the local community have suggested many alternative locations for it including on Calton Avenue (where the old stocks sign used to be) and with the other recycling bins at North Dulwich station. All other electrical recycling bins are in the north of the borough and can be found via this page: https://www.southwark.gov.uk/bins-and-recycling/recycling/recycling-centres/waste-electrical-and-electronic-equipment-weee

I am taking some small electrical items to the Sydenham Hill recycling place (by bus and foot) If you would like me to take yours too, please PM me.

Please don't bin them!

The nimbies, I think, were pig sick of the morons who attacked and vandalised it. Having lots of electrical items strewn across a pavement near to where stacks of kids come and go is not a good idea. Shame it is gone but I can understand the reason behind its removal.

    • I looked online for their menu and the only one I found was very blurry.  Does anyone have a clear one they could post?
    • I’ve tried numerous times to book a bulk rubbish collection but when I go to the payment section I keep getting an error message every time.   Has anyone booked a collection in the last few days and did the payment all go smoothly?    thanks!
    • It's also arguably a bit of a netherzone, not quite Dulwich, not quite Forest Hill. I don't think any pub will do particularly well without supporting businesses nearby. I think the best we're going to get is a block of flats with a commercial unit underneath, which will undoubtedly probably be a Tesco Metro.
    • I must say I was excited to see Turkish restaurant making it's appearance on Lordship Lane again. After Hisar gone it was hard to find good, quality Turkish cuisine around.  I went to Love Dulwich with my family to try it. And we weren't disappointed! Amazing. Lovely portions, tasty and reasonable priced.  Will be back! 🙂
