Hi,

We have 2 kids (boy aged 7, girl aged 9) who are increasingly football mad. They've both been told at school that they are showing real potential and they should go to a local club.

I'm a bit stuck as to what to do to be honest. I've heard athenlay is good but the information online is quite limited. Same for Dulwich hamlet (is this the same as village etc) and Peckham town.

Any help, contacts or insights would be welcomed, keen to embrace their passion whilst it's there!

Many thanks!

JP

Dulwich Village FC is different from Dulwich Hamlet. Its website is at https://www.dulwichvillagefc.co.uk/, looks as though trials for next season?s teams are in June and you need to register for them. They are linked to a separate coaching operation called Football Magic which runs weekly sessions, holiday sessions etc - see https://www.footballmagiccoaching.co.uk/.

They run a lot of teams. My son played there for a number of years and it was pretty well run - but that was a few years ago and I don?t have up to date info. They definitely have girls teams.

The Dulwich hamlet site is https://dulwichhamletjuniorfc.co.uk/ - looks like fewer teams.

Girls United is a local girls club worth a look https://www.girlsunitedfa.org/london-club#londonclub-sessions

    • Well yes.  But only up to a point eu countries have had to spend a LOT of money to accommodate English madness  - and has had to deal with years of incoherent positioning.  It has destabilised the EU as a group - or has at the very least distracted it and consumed bandwidth  which is why Putin was so pro-Brexit. Which enabled other subsequent events - it’s hard to imagine the world as it is now without Brexit.  A stronger EU.  Uk not a mess and in its own after multiple elections and way more prime ministers than 9 years could possibly allow   a stronger united front
