Nero
It's the third one to go Northern Rock on me. All the leaves shrivelled and then dropped off. If I tap the pot, the remaining ones fall to the ground. Someone on this site said it's nearly impossible to kill them, so what gives? I yearn for a massive, glossy-green plant, like you have in Chinese takeaways. *Bob*
Next time you're in a Chinese takeaway, I urge you to tap the pot - and watch their faces fall. Asset
Nero, I don't know what you do to them!Is it outside? It shouldn't be at this time of yearVery little water required over winter, I haven't watered mine for a few months but if leaves are shrivelling and falling off it sounds like you haven't watered it for a year.when the leaves dropped off were they very dry? Asset
Although I'm not one to talk at the moment. My massive specimen suffered because I left it out too long, it got bad frost damage and is now half the size. Nero
I put it in the garden when that agoraphobe yellow thing popped out for a few minutes last week, but failed to bring it in one night. I watered it sparingly since I got it. The leaves shrivelled and then dropped off. Perhaps it's not getting enough warm sunlight. And my M-I-L's tongue has lost its colour. Asset
If it was out on a frosty night that will have done it, they like to be cool at night but no frost - it may not be dead though. Keep it in until all fear of frost is gone and see if any new leaves grow. Have all the leaves come off? If so, what state is the stem in? Nero
About 35% of the leaves remain. The stems are sturdy and green. There had been plenty of growth hitherto. Asset
I reckon it'll be fine and new leaves will grow. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3081-money-tree-another-one-bites-the-dust/#findComment-95716 Share on other sites
