1st birthday party ideas

Looking for ideas for my sons first birthday

Will be inviting mostly people with similar age children but some with no children and mainly too

So really somewhere where we can have our own area, get food and drink (not sit down) children can pay / crawl around and I can put some toys down etc

Am I dreaming?

The new clock house pub has its own room but it's upstairs with some tricky corns to negotiate so I dont think it's fair to invite people there with buggies!

Any suggestions by welcome

sounds like a church hall, community centre, scout hut kind of thing would work best. just get a whole load of nice nibbles, sandwiches and some wine. don`t think most pubs etc will be that accommodating...
