Tubers just starting to shoot. Organically grown, producing many sweet crunchy tubers which look like sweet potatoes. Also the large leaves are edible and excellent for using instead of vine leaves.

These are low calorie as they do not contain digestible sugars. They are great raw in salads or cooked. They retain their crunchiness when cooked, rather like water chestnuts.

They grow about 150cm and need room in the soil to produce their tubers. Small orange daisy like flowers.

Great for allotments.
