Physics & Maths tuition offered

Recommended Posts

Hello all, I am Nick. I am an experienced maths tutor, having previously taught maths in an academy. I have experience tutoring all levels of maths up to A-level, including further maths.

I believe that anyone can do maths - the key to learning how to do maths is the way in which concepts and ideas are communicated. In my years of experience in tutoring maths, I have helped a vast range of students be able understand these core mathematical concepts using various tehcniques and forms of communication to explain different ideas. A central strength of my tutoring is my ability to identify the relevant ways of explaining concepts to students through analogies, examples and techniques. I am a firm believer in practice and supporting students by exploring exam questions to be able to maximise their potential. Currently training to be a social worker, I also have experience of working with young people with special educational needs.

I am a very relaxed and easy going person who focuses on my students' goals and enjoyment of maths - the best way to learn is definitely by having fun!

I am very happy stretching students who want to be pushed and also helping those who want to try and bump up their grades.

I have tutored on all major exam boards - Edexcel IGCSE, AQA and OCR.

Please feel free to get in touch via email or on 07540 172 423 and I will get back to you as soon as I can.

Looking forward to hearing from you!

Nick

    • Apparently they are considered an "invasive species" so shouldn't be transported anywhere - the volunteer who took the injured parent away was technically breaking the law.  The thread is here, just shows how nothing has changed with regard to loose dogs around the lake -
    • Yes we're on Silvester road and ours is bad, it was yesterday too. Might be to do with works on Crystal Palace road?
    • Is anyone else experiencing low water pressure on or around Heber Road this morning?
    • I went to the consultation and spoke to Gala’s ‘Head of Sustainability’ who knew nothing about any nesting bird surveys, bats, beetles etc. He also didn’t have an answer on plastic waste, disposal vapes, or the impact on the newly recovered ground (other than the meagre litter picking). I followed up with an email to give him more time to get an answer but still no reply. Will post on here when I get one. It might help to email the licensing team at Southwark as well as take the survey.
