According to https://www.kch.nhs.uk/patientsvisitors/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccine: Vaccination Centre at the Weston Education Centre (WEC)

The centre is open every day (Monday to Sunday) from 8.30am to 6pm (walk-ins are available until 5pm).

Note that they advise checking eligibility before booking. The https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/coronavirus-vaccination/book-coronavirus-vaccination/ National Booking System landing page conveniently spells out all the eligibilities.

[ETA] eMac, apologies for my total doziness in not really registering the content of your post. No ulterior intention to put you right, steer you elsewhere, whatever. Just real doziness, and probably the stimulus of receiving my own invitation and so getting the awake bit of my brain stuck on just the national system venues.

Thanks for your reply. For convenience, here again is the local CCG's page on walk-in clinics: https://selondonccg.nhs.uk/what-we-do/covid-19/covid-19-vaccine/pop-up-clinics/. It has a link specifically for 12-15 year olds: https://selondonccg.nhs.uk/12-15covidvaccine, and I don't see anything currently scheduled at TJHC.

Does anyone know if any of the vaccination centres offer the 2nd booster / 'Spring vaccine' to people not on the high risk list if they have left-over supplies? I had my booster quite early as I'm relatively high risk due to asthma but my surgery just said 'wait for a letter when eventually eligible'.

As my booster was over 6 months ago I doubt it's still effective. Last time we got our boosters because people hadn't turned up and the clinic didn't want vaccines to go to waste so I wondered if the same is happening with these ones?

Hi Partygirl -

The list of eligible people/high risk has been narrowed significantly (both as a result of data re: who has bad outcomes and also I'm guessing there is a smaller supply/cost savings being applied. They are being quite strict about it this round. I expect once they get data that backs up the idea that another booster is useful they will be opening things up more.

Edit: If you think you meet the criteria that is laid out here - get an appointment with your doctor to get one.

    • As a result of the Horizon scandal it now seems very clear that the Post Office management are highly disingenuous and not be trusted!  There needs to be a campaign launched to challenge the threatened closure, unless the Post Office can demonstrate beyond doubt that the branch is loss making - and even then it could argued that better management could address this. I hope the local media take this up and our MP  and a few demonstrations outside wouldn’t do any harm. Bad publicity can be very effective!
    • Unlikely. It would take a little more than a bit of Milton to alter the pH of eighty-odd thousand gallons of water.
    • It actually feels as though what I said is being analytically analysed word by word, almost letter by better. I really don't believe that I should have to explain myself to the level it seems someone wants me to. Clearly someones been watching way too much Big Brother.
    • Sadly they don't do the full range of post office services
