Neighbour?s fence in wrong place

I?ve downloaded all the Land Registry plans for my road (MG) and measured them with my slide rule and compared those measurements to the actual fence boundaries - I?ve come to conclusion my neighbour?s fence is in the wrong place and needs to be moved back by 1 metre. I went round last night to tell them my findings and and they me told to p*** off.

Did you use the land registry authorised yard stick that uses ye oldie imperial meters?

Completely different unit of measure and you need to have the correct tool in hand otherwise you make a mess.
