I'm so glad I approached Tom to help with some pictures I wanted to hang, not only was he patient and knowledgeable, he allowed me to experiment with variations in the space, as I was finding it difficult to make a decision.

Quick, tidy, reasonable. Recommended!

We asked Tom to hang a variety of pictures that we had not re-hung after decorating and very glad we did. Compared to the mess that i had made originally hanging them (both the damage to the wall as well as the mildly annoying lack of consistency in levels), Tom did it all properly - measuring, marking out, accurately placing the fixings, ensuring all straight and correct and clearing up well after.

Thoroughly recommend and already discussing on hanging some picture in my workplace up in town.

I highly recommend Tom Matthews.

On two different occasions he hung multiple picture frames for us -- some exceptionally heavy. He did so with care and expertise, and was helpful in making recommendations about the hanging position. He also helped us align and install shelves.

He brought tools and fixtures so we didn't have to worry about anything, and even filled in botched holes in the walls that we'd done. He's transparent about pricing. And he's also a great communicator, which makes working with him a pleasure.

Tom did a great job for us last week hanging a large mirror and pictures, including a number that were hung in an awkward stairway. He worked tidily and efficiently and also gave me advice about where to hang each picture. I would definitely recommend Tom and would use him again.

Tom is a picture-hanging maestro! He did a great job hanging various pictures including helping me work out a suitable configuration for a stair wall. He was friendly, reliable, punctual and tidy. Highly recommend. My home now looks like an art gallery! Thanks Tom 🙂

    • Hi, Looking for a bedframe with no head or footboard for a double mattress. Normal UK double. Ideally wood. If someone has one to sell or give away please get in touch, thank you!
    • Great answer, but how do you then square it up with pension pots investments without adversely impacting future growth.  Buit of a tricky one as on one hand it should be nationalised but on the other we don't want to see future pension poverty relying on government top ups.  Far too complicated for a simple answer
    • Driving down one of the side streets near the park last night we saw a group of kids in front holding a rope across the road. Did feel a little anxious and then when we got closer it turned out to be a harmless trick - nothing in the road/dangerous, just three kids on each side holding long twigs as if they were tugging a rope between them. i'm conflicted - quite a theatrical prank (I presume copied from online) but given the location could well have been the same group mentioned above.
    • I have no idea, but not so difficult for one of them to stand to the side and record. In an odd way at least if they were doing it for social media it might explain the motivation, albeit misguided. Others may disagree, but that feels less worrying than a desire to intimidate.   I think comparable games like "knock down ginger" where children run away and/or momentarily stick their tongue out as cheeky gesture, have a different vibe to what is described here.
