KidKruger
I think location of any plane (or mock-up) for the purpose of spotting / reconnaissance would be more aligned to what the observer would really see during operations, so more likely to be on the edge of a field / between hangars etc.I can't imagine spotters need to be trained to find planes in gardens, where they are harmless and cannot take-off !I know a bloke in Romsey with a small mansion and a Hawker Siddley Harrier VTO fighter plane on his front lawn, cost him about a handful of grand he reckoned. He bought it just cos he could and it was available and he thought it novel !
