I would add my recommendation for Marven and Sky High . Smallish job of repairing external window seals and painting but undertaken effeciently and reasonably and both he and his painter Dave were a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely use again

Skyhigh builders have not long finished a side return extension and refurbishment in our house, we are delighted with the results and Marven and his team worked efficiently and promptly, and regularly informed us of the progress from start to finish,

Highly Recommended !

Great job from Marvin and team. Communication was excellent throughout, work was finished to a high standard and the inevitable hiccups were dealt with without charging for extras.

Work was removing roof, raising ceiling, installing sky light and new roof, replastering, painting and new floor.

Marvin sorted a building surveyor at short notice in preference of dealing with the council and their time delays, but did not warn us of the increased cost of this in advance. In fairness to him, he took this difference off the price of our quote without complaint. A couple of other issues arose and were handled quickly (leaking tarpaulin in a storm over the weekend, lost door keys and replaced locks for us).

Everyone who worked at our house without exception was excellent, cared about their work and got on with the job. Special shout outs to Jon and Klay! His quote was expensive vs others but the work was excellent and most importantly he was exceptionally communicative throughout, whether about good news or bad. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

We couldn’t rate Sky High Builders more highly! Marvin and team did our loft conversion and full renovation of our property on Ulverscroft Road. The quality of the build is of a really high standard and we are so pleased with the outcome.

Marvin was a first class project manager throughout the entire development, and ran the project bespoke to our requirements. We were living out of the city during the development and he therefore provided daily updates on the project. This gave us great confidence in Marvin and his team.

They have consistently went out of their way to help us as and when we have required it. With any project there will be a snagging list when the development practically competes and Marvin’ was incredibly comprehensive with his. We have also always been made to feel that we can contact Marvin as and when something pops up and we couldn’t rate his customer service more highly.

We also have friends in the area who have used Sky High and have had really positive experiences.

I would recommend Sky High Builders in the strongest way. Marvin and his team are efficient, professional and expert in the work that they do.

I needed work done in my flat to remove and reinstall my full kitchen including all gas, plumbing and electrics in a tight timescale (before and after a damp proofing course). The team did exactly what was asked of them with no delays and left the kitchen looking incredible.

I have tenants in my flat and I cannot say how much Marvin and his team took the stress out of it all.

I’d highly recommend Marvin for any project. The whole team did a brilliant job on my extension and dealt very capably with any issues that came up. He takes a huge amount of pride in his work and it really shows in the end product.

I’ve recommended him to a number of friends in the area who’ve also been very satisfied with his work. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with him on another project in the future.

Sky High Builders were amazing from start to finish!!! They did a fantastic job on my loft conversion. Honestly, they transformed the space into something way beyond what I imagined. The whole process was smooth, and their attention to detail was spot on. If you're ever thinking about converting your loft or doing any home renovations, I can’t recommend them enough. Totally worth it!! Marvin and his team are just the best!

    • Hi if anyone has one pm me cheers
    • You can always check when they registered on the forum, if you are suspicious. But I recommended Aria, and it certainly wasn't my only post on here, and it was a genuine recommendation. ETA: And he didn't ask me to make it, to the best of my recollection. But even if he had, many local tradespeople ask people to post on here if they are happy with the work that has been done.
    • I am not a patient at this practice, but surely it is more sensible to have an initial  phone discussion, as often the GP wouldn't need to see someone face to face unless they actually needed to physically examine them? This then leaves the available face to face appointments for patients who need them. And if during  the phone call the GP felt you needed examining, then arrangements could be made for a face to face. If you feel your ailment is such that you will definitely need to be physically examined, can you not explain that to the receptionist?
    • Give Labour a chance, they've only been in government for a short time, and they inherited a mess! As regards the notice boards, to the best of my recollection they were originally intended as community notice boards, and certainly not for advertising local businesses (who would decide which businesses  should have the limited space on the boards, anyway?) East Dulwich may have become more gentrified since the boards were first introduced, but that surely doesn't mean they should now be completely  taken over for the benefit of  the "middle classes", to the exclusion of everybody else? As  NewWave says, surely these people have other ways to find out about groups and events of interest to them, which the "non middle classes" may not have access to, and even if they did may not be able to afford them. Several people including myself have complained to councillors about the state of the noticeboards in the past.  I think one of the issues is that they were originally maintained by local volunteers, who may have either moved out of the area or lost interest - or given up in despair when the boards were flypostered and/or vandalised. I completely  agree that the boards should be used for information about not for profit organisations in the area, but if regular maintenance can't be provided and/or they continue to be vandalised, then I think it would be better if they were removed altogether.
