(+ grandparents who sometimes need more entertaining than the toddler!)

I've had a look on the "what's on" thread but aside from the stuff at the horniman (http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?6,1072017) has anyone got any good tips of local/short bus/train ride way events that would be suitable for a (nearly) 2 year old and family?

Not so local but we have always found that getting the boat from London bridge (short walk from station) either East eg to Greenwich or to North Greenwich and the cable car or West up to the London Eye has gone down a treat even when its cold (but not raining)... its most of an activity in itself and the Thames Clipper commuter boats are pretty frequent and have loos/cafe/seats etc on board. Think its about 5.50 with an Oyster.

Otherwise, I would be interested to hear other suggestions as have a week with my three year old to fill and 8 months pregnant and still fairly new to the area!

Theres some fun stuff happening at the Childrens Museum over Easter - grandparents might enjoy a nostalgic view of toys they played with!

Its an easy overland train to Whitechapel (and then quick bus - 254) to childrens museum

or you can go to shoreditch and walk (10 mins)

There is a little park adjacent to the Childrens museum, as well as benches outside for picnic lunches.

    • Hey fellow cat owners! Was hoping that you would consider putting collars with bells on your outside cats? I’ve wee fledglings in a nest and at the moment I’m defending them against an orange and white dude (I call him Trump) and his nemesis, a lovely Tuxedo cat (I call Elon)… they are quite the double act in my back garden!!!! It would give the wee ones a bit of a better chance if a bell could announce their approach. And as a feline owner myself, I know cats will be cats, but every little helps even the odds. many thanks.
