Hardly surprising. Mayor has not increased fares and Tories are criticising him for that. Still great value although worry is that with the leveling up agenda and antipathy towards Khan from Number 10 TfL's finances will continue to suffer.

Wonderful that we are now getting electric double deckers (63) - see the parochial part of the forum.

Which will be further incurred through Khan's increase to Council Tax Bill's in the region annually of ?31.93, the increase consists of ?20 for transport, ?10 for policing and crime and ?1.93 for the London Fire Brigade)Plus an 8.8% Council Tax increase.

Inflation up (5.7%)

Energy bills up 60%

Food up (every damn week)

Council Tax hiked up 8.8+%

Surprisingly household incomes down

And "Passengers will no longer be required to wear masks on London's buses, trains and trams, mayor Sadiq Khan has said"

Khan said he also "expected" to lift the requirement to wear a face covering as a "condition of carriage".

But he urged passengers to "be considerate of their fellow Londoners" and to continue choosing to wear masks on public transport, unless exempt.

So Khan isn't enforcing mask wearing BUT urged passengers to "be considerate of their fellow Londoners" and to continue choosing to wear masks on public transport, unless exempt. Well that's all as clear as MUD.

I'm perpetually surprised to find a bus/train with all windows closed. I would like all cleaners to leave all windows open as part of their remit.

Trouble is, a lot of the LB longer trains are with ones where you can't open the windows at all!
