rachel4
Advice please. I've only ever flown with a Micralite buggy before for a toddler. Now have a toddler and a baby. Does a Phil&Teds qualify as a 'travel fold up buggy' that the airlines say you can take?? And how about taking the pram bit for a normal buggy, is that allowed? And can you take a car seat and buggy and the pram bit all in your allowance?? many thanks. snowboarder
We've taken our Phil and teds often - they ask at check in whether its a 1 or 2 part pram - which suggests a bugaboo type frame and carrycot is cool too. Not sure re car seats, we hire them usually. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/30290-flying-with-buggies/#findComment-626500 Share on other sites
shaunag
Car seat and buggy is fine with ba- don't know if that's all airlines- the website might say? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/30290-flying-with-buggies/#findComment-626508 Share on other sites
mima08
Hi, it varies by airline. Some of the cheap ones allow only the one-piece fold up plus another item (car seat OR travel cot), some specify that the other item can only be e.g. a car seat and some (Ryanair) only allow a buggy, nothing else. Best to check directly with the airline...cue: ages in the phone helpline....sorry!Mx Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/30290-flying-with-buggies/#findComment-626509 Share on other sites
pilsbury
all airlines have different policies - most of them cover it in the FAQ section of their website, so check their first Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/30290-flying-with-buggies/#findComment-626654 Share on other sites
amy30
We recently took our Phil and teds to NZ on Singapore air. They were fine with us taking two bags for the buggy as we had the car seat attachment and a travel cot. They didn't weigh the bags as you can take them to the gate so we could even fit a few "extras" in!
