Hi everyone

I am due on 6th November and fairly new to the ED area and wondered whether I could come along next time you meet up? I don't finish work till 11th October but could meet after work one night if my husband can look after our toddler.

Hi - I'm due with my 2nd on Tuesday (24 Sep) and clearly very late to join this group but would love to meet up with 2nd timers especially - my daughter has just turned 2 and it will be lovely to know how others in a similar boat are getting on / go for play dates where toddlers can run around and play together.

Is there a Facebook page I can join to keep in the loop with meet ups?

Ruth

Hi Ruth (and others who may not be on the Facebook page). I'm due 2nd Oct and expecting my 2nd too - have a 2.7 month year old! A few of us who are expecting number 2 and have toddlers etc are meeting tomorrow 10 onwards at the Peckham Rye 1 o'clock club (10-12). We moving on for coffee/early lunch for toddlers 11.15/30 ish in the cafe - so first time mums who just fancy the coffee part of it, very welcome too! Jane x

Hello all, hope you are all well. I had my baby in Dec last year and bought a box of Cow & Gate first infant milk stage 1 that we never opened, and wondered if anyone would like it? (free) It expires in March 2014. Seems a shame to throw it away! I'm in North Dulwich but often in ED with baby so could prob drop it off.

Hello All,

Unfortunately, I am a bit out of the loop but I was in one of the very first Autumn Mums meet ups this summer at the Clockhouse pub.

Anyway I thought I'd all let you know that my company Olive&Moss (baby clothes) will be holding a sale this Friday (details below). I'll be there working away with little Baby Miles (now 10 weeks) strapped to me via the Baby Bjorn. Agh the life of a modern mum... :)

Please come along and grab a bargain. Looking forward to catching up x x

Hi everyone,

I'm new to East Dulwich and this forum so apologies if I'm not up to speed. I gave birth to baby Hannah last Wednesday 25 September and am keen to make friends and meet up with fellow mums in the local area so I don't go stir crazy when Daddy goes back to work. I'm on Facebook so would like to join the group to hear of things going on. What do I need to do?

All the best,

Kim

Hope you don't mind us butting in on your thread, but Goodrich School is having a table top sale on Saturday 12 October, 2.30-4.30. This is like a mini car boot sale, 50p entry - lots of people selling off unwanted clothes, books, etc. Usually a good source of baby/toddler bits and pieces for good prices. Hope to see you there

Hi I've just found the East Dulwich Forum and this group. I've sent a request to join the facebook group and thought I should introduce myself on here too! Hope you'll accept my request. I'm Catherine Blackham on facebook. I've got a 4 month old daughter born on 16th September. It would be good to come along to a meet up sometime.

    • I was in Forest Hill Road today, just past the Rye, and noticed there is a dentist next to the Herne (pub) that has NHS signs outside. I've never had any problems getting NHS dental treatment in East Dulwich, and I get regular check ups. I've been to three  different dental practices here over the years, all with NHS treatment. I think the difficulties are in other parts of the country. Malumbu has a good explanation above. I didn't hear the Radio 4 programme, but I'm guessing that a  radio programme is not going to have time to say where you CAN easily get NHS treatment, and is bound to focus on the negatives and the horror stories, otherwise it would be very boring! ETA: Re children's teeth, I think the major issue is not lack of dentists, it is children being given sugary food, drinks and confectionery which rots their teeth. The education of parents needs to be about this, not just about tooth brushing. And in some cases the poor diet may also be due to lack of money for healthy food. Though of course the lack of dentists doesn't help, if  the tooth rotting can't be rectified by fillings or extraction.
    • Well, I hope you like what you see, the hot air, lack of answers and continual blaming things on the last Government and the made up blackhole, I find are nauseating. The man needs to see reality, because I'd guess that if we had a snap election tomorrow and based on the first six months of this parliament, Labour would get trounced. When the election does finally happen and if that isn't before the people rise up and throw this lot out, Labour will not be voted back in for a millennium.
    • Yes thanks that's exactly the choices I get.  I will block and if somehow they find a way back I'll report.
