We?re the Third Camberwell Scout Group, based at the Scout Hut on Bellenden Road.

We have some great volunteering opportunities coming up for you to get involved in supporting our local young people. You don?t have to have had previous experience in Scouting or Guiding, but if you were involved growing up you?ll know how much fun it can be. We?re an active, friendly and inclusive Scout Group with a Beavers, Cubs and Scouts section.

**Cubs Leaders** ? our brilliant Cubs leaders are retiring so we?re reaching out to the local community for new volunteers to run our Cubs section. Are you someone:

? Who enjoys interacting with young people?

? Who would be great at organising skill-boosting activities and adventures?

? Who has plenty of energy and enjoys playing games?

? Who's patient and caring?

There?s lots more information about being a Cubs leader on Scouts.org.uk. The commitment can be flexible. Our Cubs currently meet every Tuesday night 6.30pm-8pm at the Scout Hut.

**Admin Volunteer** - if behind the scenes is more your thing, and you?ve got roughly an hour free a week we?d love help with some of our admin tasks eg managing the wait list and drafting content for our newsletter. We have a great online system which makes many of these tasks much easier.

If you?re interested in finding out more about volunteering with us then please get in touch by emailing thirdcamberwell@hotmail.com

DBS checks would be required for all volunteer roles. We welcome all genders, races and backgrounds

    • I was a late starter, just 17, when I started to go to pubs regularly.  I'd been bought a drink by a family friend before that.  We had several pubs that catered for under age drinkers, one 15 +, one 16+ etc till we graduated to the 18+ pub and felt really grown up.  And at those young ages alcohol tolerance was low so you could nurse your drink for an hour or so. The curse of binge drinking came later.....
