I have been thinking recently how much easier bedtime/story time would be if I had a large(rocking)chair. At the moment I have two rather chubby kids sitting on my lap and between milk, cuddlies and kids, I can barely read the book. I wondered if anyone has any suggestions. I know I could make the older one sit in his bed but we quite like that wind down time and the cuddles. Thanks.
I have been wondering how to do 2 when the time comes. At the moment it works with seperate bed times, but it does mean that bed time can be rather lengthy. I think the cuddle is very important, as it helps them get all warm and snuggly. If they are lying in their bed it is not quite the same thing, is it?
To be honest, it is doable in a regular plain/rocking/nursing chair; just not the most comfortable thing. I think maybe I need to look at a large-ish armchair. I think the rocking aspect is maybe less important than fitting in the chair the 3 of us and having some nice quiet time before they go to bed after the non-stop running around of the day.

    • Hey fellow cat owners! Was hoping that you would consider putting collars with bells on your outside cats? I’ve wee fledglings in a nest and at the moment I’m defending them against an orange and white dude (I call him Trump) and his nemesis, a lovely Tuxedo cat (I call Elon)… they are quite the double act in my back garden!!!! It would give the wee ones a bit of a better chance if a bell could announce their approach. And as a feline owner myself, I know cats will be cats, but every little helps even the odds. many thanks.
