We have just had a total refurb of our kitchen by Martin and his team. For potentially such a disruptive and stressy job (we cook lots and missed our kitchen) it all went really well. Martin was very knowledgable, friendly, and open to our ideas and how they might work best. The quote was detailed and arrived promptly. The team arrived on time, worked hard and cleaned up every evening. Extras were discussed and agreed along the way. No problems, just smart solutions. The whole job was finished to a very high standard, and to budget. We're delighted, thanks Martin.

  The good news is that the Blythe's new leaseholder is Austin Whelan, who runs a chain of very decent Irish pubs, mainly in south London. By all accounts, he has no intention of making any major changes. It reopened last week.

  A builder said that to me once! What I should have said (but thought of it too late) was that given that I was paying him to do a job, I expected that my glass would be full, not half full 🤣 But yes, you are right in this instance!

  Just had a flyer through the door. Posting here for people who haven't had theirs yet. The 50% off food is for three days only, and advance bookings only. I liked the EDT as it used to be, so I really hope the changes won't be too massive. Last time I looked through the window the bar seemed to be still in the same place, but who knows. Think I'll wait a bit to try the food. When The Lordship launched, we went for a meal there and let's say things didn't go smoothly 😂 Anybody who was there will know what I mean 😂 They have redeemed themselves since, I hasten to add 😂
