With the 12th night already passed, I'm still getting late Christmas cards (post delays)

My dilemma is should I put them up or store them / dispose of them ?

If I put them up past the 12th night then does tradition apply and they have to stay up for 12 months ?

If I don't put them up. Is it disrespectful to the people who sent them ?

What are other people doing with delayed Christmas cards ?

We received quite a few yesterday and added them to our 'display'. People have taken the time to choose and send them and written newsy messages inside, seems a shame just to leave them in a pile/drawer/bin. Took all other decorations down yesterday so hope that covers the 'bad luck' thing...

You keep your tree in the shed?

  • 2 weeks later...
Change of mind, it was getting sort of depressing still having them up. Lots missing still, and we'll of course put any more that arrive on display for a while, as kidkruger says its only fair to the senders - and they can swell the number of birthday cards later this month (if I get any :) )
