I would like to recommend Peter Cooper (tel: 07960 589734 or email peter@whyknotwood.com), for any carpenter needs you might have. He specializes in handmade kitchens but will help with anything from wooden flooring to fitted bespoke furniture. Happy to answer any questions if you PM me. Thanks

Recommendation - Carpenter

I would like to recommend my brother in law, Peter Cooper (tel: 07960 589734 or email peter@whyknotwood.com), for any carpenter needs you might have. He specializes in wooden flooring but is pretty versatile. He has just re-sanded and oiled our floor and made us a new headboard for our bed that look fantastic. Happy to answer any questions if you PM me. Thanks

ETA: Fine to recommend relatives, but any reason why you didn't mention this time that you were related?

Regardless of the relation to the original poster I would like to add to the recommendations above, Peter has just made and installed a new desk and shelves for me - workmanship and finish is very good and they look fantastic. He kindly was able come round this evening as it was the only time I could do, very nice guy and tidied up after himself. Will definitely use again without hesitation

I read somewhere that Edinburgh is doing this next year? Charges of this kind are becoming common around the world. I think it absolutely makes sense for Southwark and other boroughs are bound to follow.
