It's not Thames Water's responsibility to keep Peckham Rye free of water, no. But the recent works designed to to hold water in the park: “capturing about 6 Olympic-sized swimming pools worth of surface water and releasing it very slowly”, where undertaken to stop houses from flooding. And the increased risk of houses flooding is the result of a drainage and sewage system which are in dire need of upgrading / modernising, but which Thames Water have neglected. So yes, we are paying for their under investment over many, many years. Directly - for the works to the park which seek to mitigate this underinvestment and indirectly through the loss of amenity that flows from the park being waterlogged more frequently. -

Aria helped us out this week. He replaced ballcocks in our loft tanks. These had caused a leak whilst we were away on holiday. He also installed a new radiator. Responsive to our requirements. Communication was really good, costs reasonable. Nice guy. Very happy to recommend. -
Well she has resigned - so it makes a change from the weeks of denial before inevitable but if we are digging up offences from decades ago, can we revisit Badenoch hacking an MPs account?
