A Fathers Plee

I am a father, who after a years of failed attempts to keep my family together is about to go down the long sad road of separation.

I am posting because I need some good legal advice, which I cannot afford. Like so many people I am an average guy who falls in between the huge gap for not being able to qualify for legal support.

My thoughts with this post was it would be worth a shot asking if there was someone out there who would be able to guide me through the approach to getting a robust separation agreement where I will be seeking shared custody of our children.

My ex partner and I (not married) have two wonderful young children, both under four. It's my goal to shielded them as much as is humanly possible from this sad and emotionally charged process.

Another dimension to my post is I'm mildly dyslexic, meaning while I able to slowing interpret the information out there and legal documents it takes me a longer than the average person, and time is always an issue.

Any help most gratefully received.

Thanks,

Forrest

We went to a family mediator, based on camberwell new road. Look on relate's website, I think they're listed there. From what I can remember - apologies, it was almost 7 years ago - this service was either free or minimal. When there we agreed with a neutral person in attendance our eventual terms of access. Good luck.
