I was planning on attending my Xmas Party this year, on my own

But I?m not sure now, in case it?s unsafe to do so. Nobody else will be there, so without me that?s one less person I?ll not possibly infect or get infected by.

I was looking forward to it, but I think I?ll still not go, what the heck. I?m looking forward to seeing myself there as usual.

I?ve taken my guidance from Number 10, as they?re really good at this kind of ?guidance? make up your own mind thing.

Only what to wear?

I hope you have fun. I?m really looking forward to it this year.

It?s all a lot clearer

As long as the guidelines are followed, even if there is or isn?t an event, then I?m happy to attend.

Or not as the case may be.

I for one am glad Boris and his team are there to guide us clearly on matters like this.

This and everything else they get involved with on our behalf.

Can we have one together on Zoom? You don't need to wear anything special. Or preferably nothing. Be aware that that you might need to stand up now and again. A bit of dancing and wot-not.

Surely one can make their own decision incorporating information from experts....

The point being! if guidance is vague, contradictory or nonsensical....then use the brain god gave you rather than throw ones hand in the air and lament that you haven't been told exactly how to act in every situation...

I?m actually at my party now, in a bubble of one.

Nobody else is here, so I?ve taken off my mask, which is great as my glasses were steaming up.

However, the place across the road seems to be full of people, shirts unbuttoned and necking drinks.

Obviously they?re following whatever?s they?ve decided on.

At 9.34 in the morning, they've either started super early or still parting hard from last night

Either way it's not just covid they risk but a super sized hang over !

Awh the youth of today we could never have done anything reckless like partying hard when we were young

Enjoy your Christmas party🎅😂

I was thinking more like

?Power to the people? painted on Boris? arse, his sphincter making up the ?O? and Boris wearing a Union Jack top hat and tails.

Let?s go with the clock hands, with Jacob RM?s brolly poked into the centre of the ?O?

OBVS JRM is in full standard (tails/top hat).

What a smelly welly this party business is turning out to be.

Firstly you can do what the kfuc you like, then actually you can only gather without anyone else there.

And you must follow the rules and guidelines, and of course you will. But it?s illegal to gather for a party as such.

Now from Dom Raab:

Asked if, as a lawyer, he agreed it would have been a breach of the rules to have held a gathering, Raab said: ?Of course, if there was a formal party held ? that is something that is clearly contrary to the guidance.

?If anyone held a party contrary to the rules, of course that is the wrong thing to do.?

?If something unsubstantiated from anonymous sources actually materialised, then of course it would be wrong,? he added.

Then this clip turn up from ITV

I?m sure there?s a very simple explanation, to do with cheese, or wine, or business. Or never not having happened.

I've managed to get hold of the original PM script:

"I've ordered an investigation into this matter. If I find that rules were broken then I will act swiftly. It would be unacceptable for government not to follow national restrictions in times of a crisis"

Sadly I reckon some fourth columnist, perhaps a Mr Gove (fictitious name) interfered with the script. Of a gremlin.
