char1ie
I've made some bets at Betfair and got huge odds versus traditional bookies. Charlie Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2983-grand-national/#findComment-92547 Share on other sites

SteveT
It makes the race more interesting if you have a bet on a gee gee. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2983-grand-national/#findComment-92662 Share on other sites
giggirl
I haven't watched this race ever since they had that big pile up of horses a few yars back and ended up putting so many of them down. It was horrible. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2983-grand-national/#findComment-92663 Share on other sites

spadetownboy
slim picking to win, best each way bets are mckelvey, snowy morning, and butlers cabin...mccoy will do it one day.?2.50 e.w. on 4 horses costs ?20 and as steve t points out its keeps the interest going and is a fair bit of craic ,and you never know you might just pick the winner. Peckhamgatecrasher
Took my friend to the bookies yesterday - she'd never bet before. Of my two, one fell, one finished about 7th. Hers won! Up there EVERONE has a flutter, it was manic. You'd get old fellas coming in and slipping you a torn out piece of paper with their bet on, as they adn't realised that it was actually legal now.We used to generally bundle up money and put every few hundred in the safe. That day I ha a box under the counter by my feet with thousands and thousands of pounds in it!I don't bet regularly, but I like the feeling of the National. Yesterday however I slept right through it! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/2983-grand-national/#findComment-92822 Share on other sites
