Recommended Posts

Local charity, Link Age Southwark have partnered with GreatWineOnline to bring you an exclusive online wine and cheese tasting event in aid of the charity's work to support older people and people living with dementia.

Join them for this fun and informative tasting experience on Thursday 18 November at 7pm, where you'll be guided by the GWO experts in the comfort of your home. It's the perfect opportunity to get your friends and family together and begin the festive celebrations early!

Your order will include 3 or 6 wines chosen by the GWO team from the fabulous Chilean winery, Bodega Volcanes. You'll be talked through each wine by Ben Gordon, MD of Bodegas Volcanes, who will join live from Chile. You can also order an optional cheese pairing to go along with your wine, introduced by GWO's very own Steve 'The Cheese' Parker, author of British Cheese On Toast.

And, if that wasn't enough, you will automatically be entered into a free raffle on the night, with the chance to win a ?50 GWO gift voucher!

To join the event, order the 3-bottle tasting case of wine for ?54 or the 6-bottle case for ?98 exc. delivery, ahead of time. A ?10 donation from each order will be made to Link Age Southwark. Add the optional cheese selection for an additional ?24 inc. delivery.

    • There is no doubt that Labour's doom mongering when it came into office spooked the markets. Plenty of analysts and businesses said so pre-budget. And why the budget was leaked so much before its announcement, I do not know. Honestly, whoever is in charge of comms really needs to get the boot.  I am so sick of hearing them bang on about 14 years of Tory decay - Labour repeatedly pressed the Tories for longer, more astringent lockdowns. It's largely thanks to the furlough scheme that we're in so much debt. I was such a staunch lockdown supporter at the time and now, looking back, it seems draconian. We're still paying the price in so many ways.

    • And for the crooked temporary Christmas Mail staff... Who I've seen holding envelopes up to the light to check their contents.
