Wanted: 1 mountain or hybrid bike for 12 year old with 24? or 26? wheels

For average height 12 year old boy (150 cm tall) .

It will be well used to cycle safely to and from school and football practice.

Their parents are on Universal Credit, so I am hoping for reasonable offers.
