Hi,

We went to Latitude when our son was just over 1 yr old. It was brilliant! The friends we went with took their son who was 4 at the time. It's really family friendly. There's a special kids zone with a good variety of entertainment. Although make sure you get camping tickets for the family camping enclosure and get there on the Thursday if you can - to secure a good pitch. If you get there later on the Friday you may find the family camping enclosure full. Also if you've not been to a festival with kids before - I recommend the special kids ear defenders as the music is obviously pretty loud. Hope that helps! PM me if you want a more detailed lowdown.

Hi, We've been for the last 3 years with our children now aged 13 and 16 but went with friends with much younger children and we all loved it. Loads for children to do; as well as the music and theatre, dance, cabaret and comedy as well. Last year was incredibly wet but they did their best to lessen the mud by putting down loads of wood chip - but be prepared for it! Toilets in the family area perfectly respectable too, by and large. If you've been to Glastonbury you'll think it's tiny, but if, like us, it's the first festival you've been to, it will seem enormous (and phone coverage not great).

Only problem we've had is that I've had to join the family after Friday work and in order to get into the family area I've had to contact a family member at the gate and get them to come and vouch for me which took literally a couple of hours.

    • Hi, hoping for a bit of help from the forum hive mind so thanks in advance.... Our property on Barry Rd was included in the External Major works that took place in 2022 (Dulwich Externals QHIP 19/20 Street Properties).  Recently we have discovered that Saltash, the contractors who carried out the work, basically patched and painted instead of fixed or replaced rotten window frames and didn't do anything to the cracked brick work which has now caused a bad case of damp in our property. Does anyone whose property was included in the works have information of any warranty or guarantee of work that was promised by Saltash or the council? As we moved in just before the work took place we weren't privy to the original communications around the work and I'd like to know where we stand before approaching the council to get it fixed..  Thanks!
    • used to love Meson don felipe with the funny guitarist who used to climb up and play on a podium, still a nice lively atmosphere and we still pop in if at the young vic but there's a lot better Spanish eateries near Borough market which is closer to the Tate too. Barrafina, Brindisa (though neither are cheap) and a few weeks ago we tried one called Parrillan, where they bring a little grill to your table and you cook your own tapas - this one certainly ticks the box for quirky but the portions are small so the bill can mount up.
